Voices from the Parish - Floral Arrangements at St Joseph's

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Jean Viola and have enjoyed being a parishioner of St Joseph’s in Romsey for 15 years.

My church flower arranging began in my previous parish and looking back, I am so pleased I took the plunge, as it has allowed me to nurture friendships and increase my faith by simply following the liturgical needs of the Church.

During my 15 years in Romsey I have ‘worked’ with many parishioners and non catholics, this again has given me a great deal of enjoyment with the pleasure of seeing others improving their skill as well as knowing we are preparing our Church for so many different celebrations; Christmas, Easter, Weddings and of course the weekly services/mass.

When joining a team in our Parish, you just have to take a simple step, even if you, like the rest of us, feel inadequate. But I can assure you that it is worth taking the plunge, as you will experience many blessings ahead.

If you ever wish to visit some of the team you will be very welcome to come along and have a chat in our Parish Centre after the 10am mass on a Friday.
