What is it?
Student Youth is a group for teenagers in Years 10 and 11 of secondary school and sixth form college. Rather than being a programme with a beginning and an end, the proposal is to belong to a Christian community. Student Youth offers teenagers the wonderful opportunity to take their faith seriously and recognise God’s presence in every moment of their lives through friendship.
Our sessions start with dinner, followed by games and a time for reflection on a given topic. We conclude with Night Prayer in the church. Throughout the year, there are opportunities to do charitable work, such as visiting the elderly in care homes or helping with parish activities. We also organise weekend trips.
When and Where?
On Fridays 6.30-8.30pm, during term time, at Holy Cross Resource Centre
(53 Leigh Road, Eastleigh, SO50 9DF).
